The 17th Floor is a live band from Chicago, Illinois touring across The United States in over 200 dates a year performing a distinctive blend of original and cover songs. The 17th Floor is measured as one the top college touring acts in the country, performing with a impressive fusion of live instrumentation and entertaining MC's giving 100% every performance.

Already considered to be party legends, The 17th Floor has astounded audiences around the world with their remarkable blend of live hip-hop and R&B music, accented by solid musicianship, insuppressible energy, tight choreography, and a strong commitment to entertaining their audience.
The storyline of The 17th Floor begins when Greg Thompson (Drums), created the nucleus of The 17TH Floor including his brother Aaron (Bass Guitar). Touring over two hundred dates a year at campuses all over the mid-west and southern United States THE 17TH FLOOR are favorites at every campus they invade, this band has definitely become masters at the art of entertaining.
Their big break came when the female hip-hop super group TLC happened to stumble upon one of their rehearsals in Atlanta. TLC hired the band on the spot and, within a few short months, The 17th Floor including current members DLuv and Shawn Brass went from performing at fraternity houses to 40,000-seat arenas. After the completion of the TLC world tour, The 17th Floor jumped back into the smaller-venues better than ever!
Later, a young, up-and-coming R&B artist named Usher (soon to be considered a superstar) contacted The 17th Floor by way of A.J. Alexander (who discovered Usher). Usher was very impressed with their work and wanted the band to assist with his upcoming tour. The band rehearsed with Usher for his "My Way" tour and appeared with him on the FOX Network's Keenan Ivory Wayans Show.
